Maine Flag Collection

In 1820, Maine was the 23rd State added to the Union, however it did not have an official flag until 1901. The original flag, depicting a green pine tree and blue star, was replaced in 1909 by the flag displaying the state seal, which is still in use today. The recent revival of the symbols from the original flag are a simple and pure representation of Maine, The Way Life Should Be.
